About This Project

Tsakane Master Plan

The Tsakane Master plan is currently being developed for the National Treasury as part of a nodal transformation that forms part of an urban network of upgrades supported by the Neighbourhood Development Partnerships Grant (NDPG). The primary focus of the NDPG is to stimulate and accelerate investment in poor, under-served residential neighbourhoods by providing technical assistance and capital grant financing for municipal projects that have either a distant private sector element or an intention to achieve this.

The NDPG recognizes that strategic public sector investment in community facilities and places can catalyze sustainable private sector investment and improvement in the collateral value of township properties. The NDPG invests in place-making to catalyze sustained improvement in the investment desirability of the township.
