Working with the well-known local practice CMAI, Marguerite is currently busy with the development of a master plan for the new rural village in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. One of the ideas central to this hybrid urban typology is the need to establish new place-making strategies and connections to the land through scientifically researched agriculture. This village will be an inclusive community and establish a growth point in an impoverished rural area along with one of the critical development corridors identified in the National Spatial Development Framework.
