Awards: Commendation Award open-ended urban upgrade Refilwe, Cullinan, Pretoria from the PIA, 2015.   The Refilwe nodal transformation forms part of an urban network of upgrades supported by the Neighbourhood Development Partnerships Grant (NDPG), National Treasury, in the Metsweding area, City of Tshwane.   We followed the concept of urban acupuncture, using small-scale interventions to transform the larger urban context. The network of interventions was identified following comprehensive research on ground level through community engagement. Sebokeng NDPG upgrade Executed while at the firm HolmJordaan This urban upgrade project is set in Sebokeng, close to Vanderbijlpark. It is part of an Neighborhood Development Partnership Grant-intervention, sponsored by the National Treasury in partnership with the local municipality. HolmJordaan was appointed as part of the PDConsulting team, to design left-over space in-between various critical nodes in the area. The infill-projects will catalyse economic growth for the node, and will include the upgrade and expansion of the central road network, medium to higher density housing, a Thusong Centre, Youth Development Centre and various other amenities....
